About Falls of the Rappahannock Chapter

Meetings

Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

The chapter sends a monthly newsletter to all members and prospective members, notifying them of meeting locations, invited speakers, upcoming special events and other items of interest.

The chapter does not meet during the summer months of July and August.

Membership

Currently the chapter has 92 members. While most members live in the immediate area of Stafford and Spotsylvania counties and the city of Fredericksburg, some members have moved away but maintain their local chapter membership.

Our membership includes many business and professional women: professors, church leaders, entrepreneurs, nurses, teachers, and law enforcement and military personnel.

Service

The chapter is involved in a variety of activities in support of the National Society objectives of historic preservation, promotion of education, and patriotic endeavor.

The chapter has sought NSDAR honors for its efforts every year since it's founding.

Whenever possible, members willingly serve on DAR society committees at district, state and national levels.
