About The Chapter
Chapter Origin
The Falls of the Rappahannock Chapter, NSDAR, was organized in October 1980 in response to a need for a DAR chapter convenient for the eligible working women in the southern Stafford County and Fredericksburg areas of Virginia.
The chapter was named for the scenic falls on the historic Rappahannock River which separates the City of Fredericksburg from Stafford County.
Meetings
The chapter meets monthly, September through June.
Our meeting locations vary. We meet at local libraries, historic sites, local businesses, and members' homes.
Our programs offer something for everyone. Topics may include American history, patriotism, historic preservation, education, veterans, and genealogy. Programs feature guest speakers, presentations, special projects, and opportunities to learn more about our community and our nation's heritage.
